The Interesting Connection Between Passover And The Coronavirus Plague

Passover night this year will be celebrated on April 8th, but the preparations begin way before that. The Bible tells us to clean out all the leaven in our houses to get them utterly yeast-free in time for the feast of Unleavened Bread. Cleaning products are typically on sale at this time, ready for the seasonal demand as Israeli households roll up their sleeves en masse. It’s a spring clean to beat all spring cleans!

Meanwhile, around the globe, we are furiously washing our hands and sanitising surfaces, knowing lives depend on it. We have become acutely aware of how disease can very quickly spread with terrible results.

And the interesting juxtaposition of Coronavirus and Passover doesn’t end there…

Purge and purify

Leaven, Jesus tells us, can quickly spread through the entire batch of dough. He told his disciples to “beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Saduccees” (Matthew 16:6), and yeast is often used in the Bible as a metaphor for sin or prideful trust in the flesh. Here are God’s Passover instructions:

“On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.

On the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation for you. No manner of work shall be done on them; but that which everyone must eat—that only may be prepared by you. So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this same day I will have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt.

Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty-first day of the month at evening. For seven days no leaven shall be found in your houses, since whoever eats what is leavened, that same person shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a stranger or a native of the land. You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwellings you shall eat unleavened bread.’” (Exodus 12:14-20)

All possible traces of yeast have to be removed. The Jewish association with leaven is pride, and being “puffed up”. We can also see this in Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, when he warns them about being puffed up and prideful, and continues, in chapter 5:6-8;

“Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”

Of course, we can’t get rid of sin on our own – we need the One who has conquered sin to take it as far as the east is from the west. Only His sacrifice will do the trick. But the cleaning process is a good time to reflect on cleaning out our lives. Reflecting on the sin that can accumulate, fester, and even kill if we don’t deal with it.

For something to get clean, something else has to get dirty

If you set about cleaning a dirty floor with a clean cloth, your floor might end up clean, but the cloth gets very dirty. Our Messiah has taken our mess, our guilt, our shame, and our sin upon Himself. In return, we are made pure and righteous in God’s sight. What an exchange.

We need to confess to Him the truth about our sins, and trust Him to do the cleaning. Here is the promise in 1 John 1:9:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

The climate of dread and helplessness is helping the world realize that they are not in control – and they never were. It’s as if God is redeeming this awful pandemic by helping people to soberly remember Him, and look up. Someone wrote that it feels as if the universe has sent us to our rooms to think about what we’ve done! Many are allowing God to point out sin in their lives, or to reflect on national sins. It’s a time of contemplation, conviction, and repentance.

One Israeli man even went so far as to return an archeological treasure he had stolen fifteen years ago, under the weight of conviction he felt in this time. He turned to Moshe Manies, who explains:

“When he came across it while cleaning for Passover, together with the apocalyptic feeling the Coronavirus generated, he felt the time was ripe to clear his conscience, and he asked me to help him return it to the Israel Antiquities Authority.”1

The Coronavirus and the process of cleaning speak so clearly about getting rid of sin in our lives. It’s got to go!

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded!” (James 4:8)

The inspection of the doorframes and the coming redemption

The similarities between our current situation and the plagues of Egypt aren’t hard to see. With the locusts swarming across Egypt and ten other countries around the Arabian Gulf causing the worst crisis seen for decades², terrible earthquakes, ravaging fires, and now this deadly virus, it is all feeling rather biblical.

The Passover story is a story of redemption, as both Jews and Christians will affirm, which points to the coming of the Messiah. Those who love Jesus will say that the parallels between Passover and the crucifixion are staggering in both depth and detail, the design of an all powerful God who orchestrated it from the beginning of time. Many Jewish people who do not accept Jesus will also see the story as the ultimate foreshadow of the coming redemption.

Indeed, there are several hints that the Passover speaks not only to Calvary but also to the climax of time. Revelation 16 describes very similar plagues to those in Exodus: water turning to blood, darkness, giant hailstones and sores, even locusts and frogs. Then of course, there is the final terror of ultimate death.

The last and most deadly of the ten Passover plagues did not affect households with blood on the doorframes. It’s an important aspect of the story to consider: the Destroyer didn’t stop to check on the righteousness of people in the house – only whether there was blood daubed on the doorframe. It was the only determining factor.

Celebrating Passover each year is a wonderful way of keeping the story and its profound meaning alive, generation after generation. It keeps us looking up to God who can protect us from every plague, redeem us from slavery, and even deliver us from death itself. We are protected by the blood of the Messiah – the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

“Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants. When you enter the land that the Lord will give you as He promised, observe this ceremony. And when your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’then tell them, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when He struck down the Egyptians.’”

Then the people bowed down and worshiped. (Exodus 12:24-27)

Blockchain Is Now the Most In-Demand Skill on the Planet: LinkedIn

A new report from the social network giant LinkedIn says blockchain professionals are in demand in 2020.

The report places blockchain at the top of a list of “hard skills” that are highly sought after – above expertise in cloud computing, analytical reasoning, artificial intelligence, user experience design, business analysis and affiliate marketing.

“Blockchain was born in 2009 to support the use of cryptocurrency.

But blockchain’s novel way to store, validate, authorize, and move data across the internet has evolved to securely store and send any digital asset. The small supply of professionals who have this skill are in high demand.”

A recent study from Indeed found that the number of jobs in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry increased 26% from 2018 through 2019.

Although the report says employer demand has “skyrocketed,” it also shows searches for Bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrency roles fell 53% in the same time frame.

“Employers, however, are doubling down on these tamper-proof blockchain technologies, which means there’s likely lots of opportunities for job seekers with these skills or interested in this industry.”

According to the study, the top job openings in the world of blockchain are for software engineers, senior software engineers, software architects, full-stack developers and front end developers.

We are now aggressively working to get the MHV coin listed on a few top exchanges. This should go pretty fast as the integrity of the MHV coin is stellar. Highly ranked Alexa score. The Wallet Loyalty Program release

Our wallet is going to be released in phases or waves so to speak. The first release will make the wallet available to Entrepreneur One Loyalty Members. This release is imminent. The next release will be rolled out after the Vault is completed and will be included in Markethive’s entry loyalty program.

The “apprentice” loyalty program is in the works and will be released soon, but as far as date setting goes, we do not do it. I will expand more on our new loyalty programs here in the near future.

Eventually the wallet will be open to everyone, but government regulations are slowing it down.

The Loyalty programs

Markethive’s first and enterprise level loyalty program is the Entrepreneur One Loyalty program. It includes every current and coming platforms like the Banner exchange, the Press release exchange, the video ad exchange, the social network broadcast exchange, the NewsFeed Boosts and the list will be infinite. It also rewards 12 months with a 1/10th ILP (Incentivized Loan Program). It is limited to 500 members.

Once filled Entrepreneur Two will be released, it will cost more, will not include the banner exchange and the 12 month loyalty reward is reduced to 1/20^th of an ILP. It will be limited to 1000 people.

The Entrepreneur Loyalty Program will continue to release different levels as the company expands it’s services.

There will also be an entry level loyalty program (apprentice) as well as a mid-level one (journey). The entry level will have a handful of benefits, like a matching bonus lock, the wallet a dn access to membership searches, messaging and deeper analysis of who has visited your blogs and profile page.

The mid-level loyalty program (journey) will be focused on delivering the same benefits as the entry program and in addition greater rewards for completing the automated tutorials and blogging and blog subscribing.

Loyalty programs reward you for making a monthly monetary commitment to Markethive. Loyalty programs give you greater advantage, reach and benefits free members do not receive. Similar to LinkedIn.

Pruning Policy

Markethive does not terminate accounts based on behaviour, or policy violations. If you want your account deleted, only you can do so. There are two ways to delete (completely removing all your content, videos, blogs, newsfeed posts and comments, coins, friends, associates, etc.

Log in and go to Settings (https://markethive.com/settings) > Profile Page and click the delete Account link and confirm 2 times and your system will be completely purged and all activities and remnants of your existence in Markethive will be gone, forever with no options to restore. Or….
Do not login for over 6 months and your account will automatically be pruned, terminated all evidence, friends, associates, coins, holdings record, images, videos, (everything just like delete above) will be deleted permanently with no options to restore. This is because we are going to be enacting KYC to make sure all members are legitimate members, to prevent scamming and fraud from the system. This will also satisfy the ever encroaching anti-terrorist laws of the United States and other world principalities.
If you were a BOD holder from the defunct Shell Holdings, your BOD was grandfathered over to Markethive and converted to an ILP. If you terminate or allow your account to be pruned, you will have forfeited that conversion with no ability to retrieve it. It would be wise to pay attention, because Markethive is going to achieve success.

If you have not logged in in a long time, yet received this email, then it would be an urgent matter to log in sooner than later. If your account has already been pruned, due to not logging in over 6 months, then you will not receive this email.

Markethive’s Hive Rank algorithmically calculates and scores your activity and the interactivity you receive on your productivity you accomplish within the Markethive system.

The system tracks your engagements which include activities such as commenting on posts, friending and following people, subscribing to members’ blogs, messaging, joining groups, tipping and all other basic good practices that will have a positive effect on your hive rank score. It will increase and in doing so, increase your earnings.

This also includes productivity like creating or swiping blogs, posting, creating capture pages, capture widgets, setting up autoresponders, creating groups, etc. All of this activity assigns predetermined and various calculated values that determine your score on any given day. These values do have a half-life which means depending on your activity, they will diminish which causes your score to fluctuate. In other words, your Hive Rank points expire and constant activity helps to keep your total score at a maximum.

Scores can reach into the thousands, depending on how consistently active you are on the platform, and the reciprocity achieved, along with your utilization of the inbound marketing tools at your disposal and marketing efforts. High scores can also increase your micropayment faucet earnings, Infinity Bounty rewards, achieving Super Status and becoming qualified to achieve the coveted “Royal Bee of the Day”.

ITV and the BBC will introduce Britbox, which will offer a best-of-British experience from Victoria to Love Island, at the end of 2019

2020 will herald the arrival of two more US-based streaming services, HBO Max and NBCUniversal. The new services are a part of a move by film studios and TV programme makers to sell their output direct to consumers, rather than through a service provider such as Netflix.

Each service will have separate content and those wanting to watch will have to sign up to a monthly subscription or annual fee.

The change means viewers will have to pay for multiple services to access the content they want, on top of fees for satellite and cable TV and the TV licence fee that funds the BBC.

HBO Max is part of Warner Media, which owns the film studio behind Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter, the DC Comics superheros including Batman and Superman, and HBO shows including Big Little Lies. In the US, Warner Media has taken back the rights to Friends, dealing a major blow to Netflix. The long-running saga is the most-watched show on Netflix.

Sky-owner Comcast will launch the NBCUniversal streaming service, taking back another big Netflix hit in the US version of The Office. It also owns the Universal film studio behind the Jurassic World and Fast and the Furious franchises.

The monthly bills of these two services in the UK have not yet been set, but they are likely to be £6-£8 a month – although Sky customers will get the NBCUniversal service either for free or at a very low cost.

The details of Apple’s new streaming service were unveiled last October. The mobile phone giant is selling fewer phones and expanding into services that customers will pay for every month rather than rely on big ticket phone purchases every two or three years.

Apple has earmarked $6bn to produce original programming over the next few years to make its service a must-watch. Star attractions will include Jennifer Aniston in her first TV series since Friends, a comedy-drama called The Morning Show with fellow A-listers Reece Witherspoon and Steve Carrell. The service will cost £4.99 a month, but be free for the first year for owners of Apple devices
